The LEGO Pirates I Volcano Island (6248-1) set depicts a pirate's search for hidden treasure. This treasure is located within a secret cave, behind a rock skull, and near an active volcano. A skeleton minifigure, Skully, also seeks the bounty, travelling on his raft. The island's rock skull functions via a mechanism: pressing a tooth causes the face to swivel, revealing the cave's interior. A Technic pin feature in the back launches Skully's raft into the water for swift departure. Released in 1996, this set delivers a pirate adventure with its unique rock-skull hideout.
